Review of Hunter 82031 Energy Star Ultra Quite Bathroom Fan, White

I bought 2 of these fans and they both met or even exceeded my expectations.They are an easy DIY install because of the well written instructions.And the fans run very quietly.I'd say they sound like a desk fan running on low speed; you can definitely hear it, but you can easily talk over the noise. My only complaintis the square vent (seen in the product picture) is rather large; I'd estimate it's 10" x 13".It would be more aesthetically pleasing if smaller.

I have tried numerous brands of Non-Stick Steam Irons. (Sunbeam, GE) None of them hold a candle to this one. Great steam power. Good vertical steam. Truly non-stick and non-drag. Heats Quick. Good cord retraction. I recommend this iron and not just for the budget minded.

Review of Factory-Reconditioned Panasonic EY6950GQKWR 18-Volt Hammer Drill & Driver Kit

I bought this reconditioned hammer drill/driver primarily for the two included batteries; when looking at the cost of buying two Panasonic NiMH batteries it seemed like if I bought this package the included drill/driver would come along basically for free.

I couldn't be more pleased with the hammer drill/driver.It performs beautifully and is up to the high standards and quality that I have come to expect from Panasonic tools.I also couldn't be more displeased with the batteries that come in this kit.They are also "factory reconditioned" but I found that they are worthless after less than 10 charge/discharge cycles.They run for perhaps 5 minutes of continuous use if no significant load is placed on the tool; if one is drilling or screwing heavy material or if the batteries are used in the reciprocating saw in heavy material they last less than a minute.These are definitely *not* "like new" batteries.

Conclusion: Under no circumstances should you buy this "factory reconditioned" package.

The directions are very clear and easy to follow, covering all the possible scenarios.When I finished installing this fan and a new switch, I turned it on and ... nothing.I thought I'd done something wrong with the wiring until I looked closely and saw the fan spinning.It is that quiet.When I put the flex duct on the output there is now the noise of the air in the duct, but it is still very quiet and can barely be heard outside the bathroom.I think if I used a rigid duct or a larger diameter duct, that noise could be minimized.

The fan is indeed quiet. However whoever designed it clearly never tried to install it. You have to build a box frame for it, no support arms included. You can get it at most wholesale electrical suppliers for what Amazon is selling it for.

Review of Panasonic FV-08VQ3 WhisperCeiling 80 CFM Ceiling Mounted Fan

During our first bathroom renovation I purchased what I thought was a good fan and it was way too loud. Pulled it out and purchased this one. Has turned out to be just perfect. Extremely quiet but it's 'just' loud enough to know it's on and I like that.

We're now redoing our second bathroom and will get another one of these. Don't forget to calculate your bathroom CFM (LxWxH ÷ 7.5) so you know what size to purchase.

Review of Panasonic FV-08VQL4 WhisperLite 80 CFM Ceiling Mounted Fan/Light Combination

I purchased this ventilation fan because it was rated very quiet and also because it boasts a damper that will keep cold air from coming in.

Claim #1 was true--fan is almost imperceptible when on.
Claim #2 not so much.The damper still allowed a great deal of cold air to billow in.

My main problem, however, with this is that Panasonic has a unique light bulb base which makes it impossible to replace their bulb with any other brand (the base has little notches that aren't in the center of the base, they're off center, not like any other 4-pin base, so nothing else fits).Not only that, but Panasonic only offers ONE type of bulb for this--an 18 W 3500K bulb--which is very bright and very blue/cool.So if you wanted softer, warmer light in your bathroom, you're basically screwed.And if you need to replace the bulb, yep, that's right--you've got to go to Panasonic.

It took me 6 phone calls, 4 disconnects, 3 stupid customer service people, and finally 1 phone call back from Panasonic to confirm that they indeed do not have any other bulbs but the 18W 3500K model.

If had known this, I certainly would have made a different choice and suffered through a little bit of a noisier fan.

This battery is an excellent replacement for the type "C"battery that shipped with the drill. It is a third again larger andslightly heavier than the original (which some may consider a disadvantage)but provides more torque and longer run time. Highly recommended
